In late 2003, StealThunder was hired to help rebuild, reposition and relaunch Klaire Labs, a small nutritional supplement manufacturer with a 30-year track record of supplying physicians with pharmaceutical grade products. Although the company was the first in the supplement industry to develop hypoallergenic products, it was steadily loosing market share to much larger manufacturers.
To help reverse this slide, StealThunder brought together a team of professionals to create a new brand positioning, new channel strategy, new pricing structure, new communicative name, new tagline, new product line brand, new technology brand, and a streamlined nomenclature system. The team also created a new corporate identity and all-new marketing communications, including a website, physician presentations, a product catalog, consumer-focused communications, ads, a tradeshow booth, and PR launch materials.
The result was that this “mom and pop” shop was able to effectively and credibly compete with much larger, top-tier manufacturers. With its new brand, Klaire Labs became an attractive take-over candidate; subsequently, the company was bought out by a larger competitor who retained key elements of the rebranding program.
